Job Description
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of Quality in maintaining and improving the quality management system (QMS. This role involves ensuring that all products meet the required standards and specifications, conducting inspections and audits, and leading quality improvement initiatives as defined by the Director of Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the QMS. UK, DEU & France Branches. Ability to expand upon company growth. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Handling customer & regulatory audits. Support the preparation and management of quality documentation and records.
Inspections and Testing:
Conduct regular inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment. Analyze and report on inspection and test results, identifying any deviations from quality standards.
Audits and Compliance:
Assist in internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up on findings. Travel when required for regulatory & customer audits. Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented and monitored for effectiveness. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Quality Improvement:
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency. Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities. Lead or support quality improvement projects and teams.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Provide guidance and support to production teams to ensure quality awareness and compliance.
Supplier Quality:
Assist in evaluating and qualifying new suppliers and maintaining supplier quality performance. Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
Customer Satisfaction:
Address and resolve customer complaints and quality issues promptly. Monitor customer feedback and implement measures to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. . Experience: Extensive experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel industry. Certifications: Certification in quality management systems (AS9100/AS9120/ISO 9001) or other relevant certifications is a plus.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends or issues. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate teams to achieve quality objectives.
