You will:\n * Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and development.\n * Maintain and improve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.\n * Lead internal and external audits as the site’s main quality representative.\n * Drive quality KPIs, continuous improvement activity, and structured problem‑solving.\n * Oversee PPAP submissions, 8D investigations, and quality engineering tools.\n * Manage supplier quality and perform/lead supplier audits.\n * Utilise and optimise the ERP system (training provided).\n * Support sustainability initiatives linked to quality KPIs.\nThis role is fully on site — visibility and collaboration are essential.\nWhat You’ll Bring\n * Demonstrable leadership experience within a quality function.\n * Background in manufacturing, ideally within component production.\n * Strong exposure to PPAP, quality engineering tools, and problem‑solving techniques.\n * Experience with audits — internal, external and supplier‑side.\n * Comfortable using ERP systems (specific system training provided).\n * A collaborative, confident approach and the ability to integrate into an established team.\nBenefits\n * Salary: £50,000\n * Bupa healthcare (option to add family)\n * Death in service: 4x salary\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n * Pension (with future potential for salary sacrifice)\nHours\n37.5 hours per week\nMon–Thu: 8:00–4:30\nFri: 8:00–12:00\n(Some flexibility available)\nReporting To\nManaging Director | Member of the Leadership Team\nAbout 1492 Search\nIn a nutshell – We discover great people!
