Job Title: Quality Manager
Salary: £42,000 - £47,000
Location: Telford
ACR are excited to be working in partnership with a established and highly successful engineering business who manufacturer precision made parts onsite, offering full metal fabrication services to their clients across Europe. This Quality Manager forms an important link between the metal fabrication team and senior management team to drive efficiencies whilst putting quality standards at the forefront of the engineer’s minds.
Quality Manager Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for site quality activities, ensuring products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and business expectations.
Act as the primary quality interface with customers and suppliers, managing audits, quality concerns, and corrective actions to protect business reputation.
Drive measurable improvements in manufacturing performance by analysing quality data, reducing defects, and strengthening process capability.
Embed a strong quality culture across the organisation through coaching, problem-solving support, and cross-functional collaboration.
Own the development, maintenance, and effectiveness of the Quality Management System, ensuring it remains robust, compliant, and audit-ready.
Lead and develop the quality function, setting clear priorities, building capability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned to business goals.
Skills & Experience Required as a Quality Manager:
Proven experience in a quality leadership or senior quality role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of automotive or precision engineering processes.
In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems and international standards, with demonstrated experience preparing for and leading external and customer audits.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, able to interpret quality data, drive corrective actions, and deliver sustainable process improvements.
Confident people leader and communicator, capable of developing teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. This Quality Manager role would suit someone who has come from an engineering or manufacturing background working as a Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector or other Quality Management roles. Ideal commuting towns could include Telford, Birmingham, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford or Bridgnorth.
