This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established manufacturing business that forms part of a global group, with specialist production sites located across the UK, Europe, South America, and Asia. Operating at the forefront of composite and polymer component manufacturing, the organisation supplies high-performance solutions into demanding sectors including aerospace, defence, industrial, medical, and automotive.

The business utilises a wide range of advanced manufacturing processes, including thermoplastic and thermoset moulding, CNC machining, laminate pressing and composite construction, and operates to internationally recognised standards including ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS 9100. This role would suit an experienced Quality Manager seeking a fresh challenge within a technically complex, quality-driven environment, where continuous improvement, compliance and operational excellence are central to success.

What we need from you as a Quality Manager:

  • Proven experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong analytical ability with a structured approach to problem solving
  • Sound understanding of Aerospace Quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with customers
  • A proactive mindset with a strong commitment to Lean principles and continuous improvement
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and remain organised in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages and experience of SAP or similar systems


What this role involves:

  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to assigned employees
  • Ensure budgetary and operational targets are achieved within your area
  • Work with HR to develop, implement and support employee training plans
  • Plan, manage and document internal and external audits in line with accreditations
  • Support certification, customer and group audits as required
  • Drive and monitor agreed quality and business improvement actions
  • Create, review, and maintain QMS documentation, including processes and work instructions
  • Support the preparation of project-related quality documentation
  • Co-ordinate and document quality control meetings as required
  • Manage the complaint handling process
  • Actively contribute to continuous business improvement initiatives
  • Support customer visits and build effective working relationships
  • Develop and monitor process performance indicators
  • Make balanced decisions on cost, quality, and risk to meet business objectives
  • Where required, halt production to mitigate risk and cost, applying problem-solving skills


Starting Salary: £45,000K per year, depending on experience.

Hours: Working 37.5 hours per week Monday Friday (Monday Thursday 8am 5pm). Friday 8am - 12.30pm).
