Candour Talent are recruiting a Quality Technician (Aerospace) for their client based in Newport.

Our client is a well-established and industry-leading manufacturing site based in the Newport area. This role comes with long-term development and training opportunities for the right candidate.

The successful candidate should be detail-orientated and have a strong background as a Quality Technician, or similar, in the Aerospace industry. You will be responsible for supporting product realisation through the accurate creation and verification of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in compliance with aerospace and customer-specific requirements.

The Role:

* Maintaining strict adherence to AS9100 traceability, regulatory compliance, and documented quality processes

* Create and verify AS9102 FAIR reports in line with the latest revision

* Create Forms 1, 2, and 3 independently, using customer data packs, drawings, and internal ERP system

* Understand and interpret PCB and Mechanical Drawings

* Follow the AS9100 traceability requirements

* Verify balloon drawing notes using an acceptable method and record results and controls used

* Understand concessions and verify where they are applicable
