QUANT ANALYST – CONSUMER LENDING INVESTMENT

£200,000 to £220,000 TOTAL COMP (SALARY + BONUS)

A fast-growing alternative investment firm specialising in data-driven credit strategies across consumer and SME lending. The organisation combines deep quantitative expertise with proprietary analytics to deploy capital efficiently across multiple asset classes and geographies. THE ROLE

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Contribute directly to the expansion of a rapidly growing asset-backed finance platform, supporting both origination and portfolio management activities.
• Design, develop, and enhance quantitative models used for investment pricing, portfolio optimisation, and risk evaluation across structured credit assets.
• Perform detailed analysis of large and complex financial datasets to inform investment decisions and ongoing risk oversight.
• Partner with teams across investment, risk, and operations to improve performance, controls, and lifecycle management of asset-backed finance exposures.
• Support the selection, development, and enhancement of data platforms and analytical tools used to capture, process, and monitor investment-related information.
• Track market developments, structural trends, and regulatory changes relevant to asset-backed and specialty finance markets, providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
• Assist with end-to-end investment processes, including due diligence, execution, and post-investment monitoring.
• Review portfolio performance and prepare analysis and materials for regular and ad hoc investment committee discussions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong understanding of consumer/SME lending
• Strong analytical background
• Python experience is a must
• Candidate can come from a data science or analytics or scoring or quant background across the board if you have consumer/sme lending experience
• 5+ years of experience
• A strong university degree in a numerate discipline
