Job Description We’re looking to hire a Quantitative Analyst to join L&G Asset Management and our Active Strategies team. Join us to play a key role in enhancing investment processes and supporting portfolio management in a collaborative and dynamic environment where your ideas have real impact. What you’ll be doing
Creating, building and enhancing systems connecting credit analysis to portfolio construction and management. Maintaining and improving tools for monitoring and understanding portfolios using central data sources. Developing enhanced solutions to streamline order creation and increase portfolio management bandwidth. Improving and maintaining tools for monitoring exposures against strategic and regulatory requirements. Supporting credit market analysis for internal strategy meetings and external presentations. Coordinating with other quant teams to deliver department-wide quantitative solutions. Operating within risk, compliance and ESG requirements while promoting a strong conduct culture.
Qualifications
Degree-level qualification; CFA or equivalent financial qualification useful but not essential. Strong coding skills in Excel/VBA, with Python advantageous, and experience automating complex tasks. Solid understanding of fixed income mathematics; familiarity with high-yield credit advantageous. Knowledge of statistics and ability to apply quantitative techniques to large datasets. Experience with MS Excel and VBA for data analysis and reporting. Enthusiastic understanding of financial markets and investment principles. Proven problem-solution skills and ability to deliver projects effectively. Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work across teams.
