Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a UK-based organisation within the renewable energy sector to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor & Estimator.The Quantity Surveyor & Estimator role comes with a salary of up to £65k depending on experience, plus an excellent benefits package including car allowance.If you have experience in Quantity Surveying, commercial management, or estimating within EPC, construction, infrastructure, or renewables sectors and are looking for your next career move, we'd love to hear from you - apply today by submitting your CV.Responsibilities and duties of the Quantity Surveyor & Estimator roleReporting to the Operations Director you will:Lead commercial management of EPC solar projects from contract award through to final accountManage contract administration including NEC/JCT/EPC terms, risk identification, and change controlPrepare valuations, applications for payment, invoices, and monthly commercial reportingManage subcontractor accounts including payments, variations, claims, and final accountsTrack project costs, forecasts, cash flow, and overall commercial performanceManage variations, EOTs, compensation events, and wider change control processesPrepare and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractorsSupport estimating and tendering activities including take-offs, pricing, and supplier/subcontractor liaisonContribute to value engineering, risk allowances, and bid commercial reviewsAttend meetings and conduct site visits to support valuations, progress tracking, and stakeholder engagementProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar (or equivalent experience)Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within EPC, construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy projectsStrong experience with UK construction contracts (NEC, JCT, or EPC agreements)Experience managing monthly valuations, subcontractor claims, and cost forecastingExposure to estimating or tendering processesExperience within solar PV, utilities, or energy infrastructure projects is highly desirableRICS chartership (or working towards) would be an advantagePersonal skillsThe Quantity Surveyor & Estimator role would suit someone who is:Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual awarenessAnalytical and detail-oriented with a strong numerical mindsetConfident working across multiple stakeholders and teamsOrganised with excellent time management and prioritisation skillsAble to work independently and manage workload effectivelyStrong communicator with good negotiation and interpersonal skillsComfortable working in both office and site-based environments across the UKSalary and benefits of the Quantity & Estimator roleSalary up to £65,000Car AllowanceTraining and Continuous Professional DevelopmentFlexible hybrid working (where applicable)Life InsuranceHealth InsuranceCycle to Work Scheme#LI-MN1 INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
