Quantity Surveyor – Architectural Metalwork / Fabrication
Location: Dunmow, Essex (Office-Based)
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum

A specialist contractor delivering architectural metalwork and fabrication-led projects is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Dunmow. You’ll manage the commercial lifecycle from tender through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, accurate reporting and robust contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare tender pricing, cost plans, budgets and cashflow forecasts

* Manage project cost control, reporting and monthly CVRs

* Contract administration (JCT/NEC/bespoke) and commercial risk management

* Produce interim valuations, applications for payment and support final accounts

* Lead variations/change control: identify, price, submit and negotiate

* Procure and manage subcontract packages and supplier agreements

* Oversee subcontractor accounts, payment certification and reconciliations

* Work closely with project teams, clients and suppliers to protect margin and delivery

Requirements

* Minimum 5+ years’ QS experience

* Must come from the same/closely aligned sector (architectural metalwork/fabrication/structural steel/specialist packages)

* Office-based in Dunmow, Essex

* Salary guide £60k+ depending on experience
