Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Cost Management Manager

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £60,000 + car allowance + package

My client is looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor & Commercial Cost Management Manager to lead their commercial team and deliver value for money across major contracts. This is a high-impact role where your commercial insight and leadership will directly influence P&L performance and drive efficiencies across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial cost management strategy and embed best practice across the team.
• Accurately cost and control subcontractor expenditure, including valuations, invoicing, and approvals.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure value for money.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement improvements where needed.
• Present cost insights to clients and internal teams, supporting P&L and project success.
• Conduct site audits and manage commercial aspects of contracts.

What They’re Looking For

• Proven commercial experience, ideally with Quantity Surveying or related cost management.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Skilled in estimating, cost engineering, and financial control.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team approach.
• High attention to detail and strong IT skills, especially Excel.
