Quantity Surveyor (Drywall)

Location: City of London

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic contracting business specialising in partitions, ceilings, drylining, and high-spec façade work. This role offers the chance to work on landmark projects, delivering exceptional quality in challenging environments.

What you’ll do:

• Measure, value, and quantify drywall / drylining works from design drawings and specifications.
• Produce accurate cost estimates and tenders for partition, ceiling and drywall scopes.
• Manage cost control during projects: track variations, change orders, and site measurement.
• Prepare interim valuations and final account submissions.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Maintain commercial records, contract documents and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Assist with risk assessments and cost forecasting to support project planning.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with significant exposure to drywall / drylining works.
• Strong understanding of partitioning, suspended ceilings, and internal dry wall systems.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Competence in cost estimating, measurement, value engineering and managing variations.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and costs proactively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good organisational skills, detail-orientated with the ability to meet deadlines.
