Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out (Retail Focus)Location: WhitstableSalary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package Hill McGlynn is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing fit out contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Whitstable. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic business delivering high-quality fit out projects across the retail sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of the commercial lifecycle of fit out projects Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Monitoring project costs, variations, and cash flow Conducting valuations and agreeing final accounts Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure financial efficiency Maintaining strong client relationships Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit out sector Strong background in retail fit out projects (highly desirable) Good understanding of commercial processes and contract administration Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Relevant construction qualification (preferred but not essential with strong experience) What's on Offer: Competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 Attractive benefits package Opportunity to work with a reputable contractor on exciting retail projects Supportive and collaborative working environment Career progression within a growing business If you are a driven Quantity Surveyor with a passion for fit out projects and are looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
