Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package
Hill McGlynn is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing fit out contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Whitstable.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic business delivering high-quality fit out projects across the retail sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the commercial lifecycle of fit out projects
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring project costs, variations, and cash flow
- Conducting valuations and agreeing final accounts
- Working closely with project managers and site teams to ensure financial efficiency
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit out sector
- Strong background in retail fit out projects (highly desirable)
- Good understanding of commercial processes and contract administration
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Relevant construction qualification (preferred but not essential with strong experience)
- Competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000
