Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Rate: £635.75 per day Contract Length: 51 working days Location: Lichfield (3 days per week on-site) Client: Public Sector (MOD) Working Pattern: Part-time (3 days per week) Interview Process: 1-stage Teams interview (conversational / suitability-based) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a specialist team delivering cost and pricing analysis across Facilities Management (FM) projects within the UK Defence estate. These projects are valued in excess of £100m and require detailed cost modelling and commercial insight. You will join a collaborative team of Quantity Surveyors responsible for developing should-cost models, pricing booklets, and supporting tender evaluations. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, nationally significant projects. Key Responsibilities Produce cost estimates for FM projects using in-house data and/or BCIS Develop and adapt pricing booklets using Excel-based models Build and refine cost models in collaboration with commercial teams Analyse tender submissions and provide insights to support business cases Prepare detailed tender reports using Microsoft Word Work independently while liaising with the wider QS and commercial teams Provide ad-hoc pricing and estimating support Review internal data for inconsistencies and anomalies Essential Requirements Degree in Quantity Surveying Minimum of 5 years' post-degree experience as a Quantity Surveyor Strong Excel skills (essential) Experience in cost modelling, estimating, and tender analysis Ability to work independently and manage deliverables Active SC Clearance
