Quantity Surveyor
West Midlands (Birmingham, Derby, Coventry or Tamworth)
Up to £65,000
We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join our infrastructure delivery team. Working across major capital programmes in the water, environment, and civil infrastructure sectors, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial management of projects from early-stage feasibility through to final account.
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing QS to build on their technical foundations, gain exposure to complex NEC-based contracts, and progress toward professional chartership within a structured and supportive team.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
Degree (BSc or MSc) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Working toward RICS, ICES, or CIOB membership (APC pathway)
Understanding of NEC3/4 contract forms
Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
Valid CSCS card and right to work in the UKDesirable
Experience in water, environment, or civil infrastructure sectors
Familiarity with CDM regulations and risk management principles
Ability to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per weekKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support contract administration of NEC3/4 ECC contracts throughout the project lifecycle
Assist with budget control, cost forecasting, and payment valuations
Maintain accurate commercial records and contribute to the resolution of contractual matters
Help prepare and evaluate tender documentation, including subcontract invitations to tender
Contribute to risk identification and the development of mitigation strategies
Liaise with the Project Manager and Commercial Manager on all commercial aspects of the project
Support final account preparation and post-project review
Build effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project teamWHY JOIN US?
