Location: Bristol Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) Contract Type: Permanent Sector: Retail Fit-Out (Supermarket Projects) About the Company We are a well-established retail fit-out contractor delivering high-quality refurbishment and new build projects across the UK. Specialising in supermarket and large-format retail environments, we work with major retailers to deliver fast-paced, high-specification projects on time and within budget. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis. Role Overview The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of supermarket fit-out projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients, you will ensure cost control, contractual compliance, and commercial performance across multiple projects. This role is ideal for a commercially astute QS with experience in retail or fast-track fit-out environments. Key Responsibilities * Full commercial management of supermarket fit-out projects * Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports * Procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages * Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts * Managing variations, change control, and cost analysis * Assessing subcontractor applications and issuing payment certificates * Ensuring compliance with contract terms (JCT experience preferred) * Identifying and managing commercial risk * Liaising with clients, consultants, and site teams to maintain project profitability * Supporting tender processes and assisting with pricing where required
