Job Description

Quantity Surveyor ️ - Competitive Salary + Benefits | Office-based (SW London or South Coast)

A leading UK provider of smart energy & heat network solutions is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing delivery team.

This forward-thinking company, built on engineering excellence and innovation, is expanding fast after the merger of several specialist businesses. With 20+ years of success across major UK developments, they’re now strengthening their commercial capability to drive continued growth.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll ensure the financial and contractual success of major energy infrastructure projects — managing costs, procurement, valuations, and reporting from tender to completion. You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to align commercial outcomes with operational delivery.

What You’ll Do ⚙️

• Manage budgets, forecasts & valuations from start to finish.

• Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation & payments.

• Produce accurate cost reports & highlight risks/opportunities.

• Review contracts (JCT/NEC) & support claims/dispute resolution.

• Collaborate with clients & teams to ensure commercial success.

What You’ll Bring

• Essential to have experience with Heat Network Projects

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.

• Experience in M&E, construction, or energy infrastructure (Heat Networks ideal).

• Strong knowledge of JCT / NEC contracts.

• Excellent commercial, analytical & communication skills.

• Proficient in Excel & cost management tools.
