Quantity Surveyor – Social Retrodut upgrades Location: Cardiff Salary: £50,000 Car Allowance 20% Bonus Sector: Social Housing, Retrofit upgrades Start Date: Immediate Quantity Surveyor – The Company An established and growing UK main contractor with a strong regional presence across South Wales and the South West. The Cardiff office delivers planned maintenance, refurbishment, retrofit energy efficiency and decarbonisation works within the Social Housing sector. Projects are secured through long-term framework agreements, providing stability and consistent local work. This is a well-structured commercial team with genuine progression opportunity. Quantity Surveyor – The Role A key commercial role within a busy regional team delivering Social HousingRetrodit upgrades including Heating, Energy efficiency EWI/IWI You will manage the day-to-day commercial performance of one or more frameworks, including estimating small works and managing subcontract accounts. Reporting to a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have autonomy while being supported. This role is based from the Cardiff office with site visits Experience working with Schedule of Rates is essential, ideally NHF. Typical responsibilities include: * Commercial management of planned maintenance contracts * Cost / value reconciliation and monthly reporting * Interim valuations and client applications * Subcontract procurement, valuation and final accounts * Variation management and commercial correspondence * Cash flow forecasting and turnover reporting * Maximising commercial return across live contracts Quantity Surveyor – The Person * Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor * Background in Social Housing, Planned Maintenance or refurbishment works * Strong knowledge of Schedule of Rates (NHF ) * Commercially aware and detail driven * Confident managing subcontractors and client relationships * Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing regional business Quantity Surveyor – The Reward * £50,000 salary * Car allowance * Stable long-term frameworks * Clear progression route For more information on this Quantity Surveyor opportunity in Cardiff, please contact Foresight Search or apply
