Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Rail Infrastructure) Location: Hampshire Contract Type: Long-Term Contract Sector: Rail Infrastructure Overview My client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong rail bias to support the commercial delivery of a major rail infrastructure projects based in Hampshire. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a commercially astute professional with proven experience in the rail sector, particularly within Network Rail environments. Key Responsibilities * Manage all commercial aspects of rail infrastructure projects from inception through to final account * Prepare, review, and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts * Administer and manage contracts in line with NEC forms of contract (NEC3/NEC4) * Ensure compliance with Network Rail (NR) standards, processes, and commercial requirements * Assess, value, and negotiate variations, compensation events, and change control * Undertake cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and financial performance analysis * Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts * Provide commercial support to project delivery teams and stakeholders * Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities * Support dispute resolution and claims management where required Key Requirements * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the rail infrastructure sector * Strong working knowledge of Network Rail (NR) forms of contract and standards * Demonstrable experience administering NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 essential) * Experience managing compensation events and change under NEC frameworks * Strong commercial acumen and cost management skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Proficient in relevant commercial and cost management software Desirable * Previous experience working directly on Network Rail projects * Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) * Experience on major infrastructure or multidisciplinary rail projects * Familiarity with rail frameworks and alliance contracting environments For more information or to apply, please get in touch with James Ayres @ Construkt RS
