Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure
Halifax, West Yorkshire
Linear Recruitment are working with a leading principal contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major regeneration scheme in Halifax town centre.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in the commercial delivery of a large infrastructure project, supporting reporting, cost control and subcontract management across the scheme.
Key responsibilities include:
*
Supporting a safe and compliant working environment
*
Preparing and negotiating subcontract packages
*
Managing subcontractors, including valuations and variations
*
Issuing contractual notices where required
*
Managing change control and compensation events
*
Producing monthly applications and cost reports (CVR)
*
Working closely with site, engineering and delivery teams
*
Attending progress and risk meetings to support project performance
About You
*
Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction/infrastructure
*
Good understanding of standard forms of contract
*
Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
*
Proficient in Excel and commercial systems (e.g. CEMAR, Oracle)
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
*
Relevant degree or equivalent experience
*
Working towards or holding a professional qualification (MRICS/MCIOB – desirable)
*
CSCS card (appropriate level)
