Job Description
Job Title Quantity Surveyor
Location Stirling, Scotland
Salary £ 40 000 - 50 000 per annum plus car/allowance
Work Opportunity Permanent / Full-time (SSE Contract)
Introduction
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing commercial team on our SSE contract. Your work will be at the heart of our commercial success helping us invest in new technologies and build infrastructure that's sustainable, carbon-positive, and ready for future .
What will I be doing?
No two days look the same, but you'll be right in the thick of things, including:
Producing weekly revenue and cost reports Managing the submission process for daily completed jobs Creating an accurate and timely Schedule of Rates Reconciling subcontractor costs and preparing payment certificates Working closely with Operations and Planning teams to track progress and scope changes Reviewing scheme works to ensure targets stay firmly on track Pricing high-volume completed works Analysing weekly and monthly cost/revenue data to support decision-making
What do I need to succeed?
We'd really like to hear from you if you can bring:
Experience working on NEC contract schemes and strong subcontractor management skills Background in utilities or civil engineering A track record of supporting or developing junior colleagues (a big plus!) Energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive, positive mindset Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to solve problems Strong Microsoft Excel skills , formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and a commitment to keeping data clean and accurate A full UK driving licence and flexibility to visit sites as needed
