Role information:
- Seeking an experienced Quantity Surveying Manager to lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors working across multiple projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercial management, ensuring robust cost control, contractual compliance, and effective team leadership while reporting directly to the Commercial Lead.
Qualifications/Experience Required
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors across several framework projects
- Manage cost planning, forecasting, reporting, and commercial risk across projects
- Support the Commercial Lead with strategic commercial input and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with framework, client, and organisational commercial procedures
- Attend and contribute to commercial and project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Must have local nuclear knowledge within Cumbria
- Promote best practice, consistency, and continuous improvement across the QS team
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying Manager or Senior QS role
- Demonstrable experience working on projects within large, multi-project frameworks
- Strong working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, specifically Option A (Lump Sum) and Option C (Target Cost)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
UK Security Vetting Status - Ability to gain SC Clearance
