Are you a Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC contract experience looking to work within the specialist field of piling and ground engineering? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected contractor delivering technically complex foundation solutions across major infrastructure and construction projects.
We are working with a leading specialist contractor in the piling and ground engineering sector who are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support their growing commercial team.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of piling and foundation projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery. This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise within a niche and highly in-demand sector, with clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage commercial activities across piling and ground engineering projects
* Administer NEC contracts, including early warnings, compensation events, and change control
* Prepare and manage cost reports, forecasts, and budgets
* Assist with procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
* Liaise with project teams to ensure commercial success and project efficiency
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, civil engineering, or ground engineering
* Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts (essential)
* Experience in piling, groundworks, or geotechnical engineering (highly desirable)
* Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
