Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Prime Residential
SW London
£40,000 to £75,000 + Benefits (depending on experience)
A respected London based main contractor with an excellent reputation in the high end residential sector is looking for a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their friendly and established team.
The company has been trading successfully since the early 90s, delivering refurbishment and new build projects across Chelsea, Kensington, Belgravia, Fulham, Wimbledon and Holland Park, typically valued up to £4.5m. Much of their work comes from repeat business with private clients and leading architects.
You’ll be joining a genuinely nice, down to earth company led by a hands on owner who values fairness, collaboration and quality delivery. The team is stable, well supported and known for blending traditional craftsmanship with modern construction practices.
The Role
You’ll assist with the commercial management of several prime residential projects, working closely with senior commercial and project management staff. The role would suit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to progress or an experienced Project QS.
You’ll be based at their SW London office with regular site visits across prime London postcodes.
Responsibilities
Support the preparation and management of cost plans and budgets
Assist with valuations, variations and payment applications
Contribute to commercial strategy and project reporting
Support contract administration and procurement
Liaise with clients, consultants and site teams
Learn from senior team members while managing your own workload
Requirements
Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor in high end residential construction
Knowledge of refurbishment and D&B contracts
Good understanding of contract law and commercial procedures
Confident using Excel and general MS Office tools
Organised, personable and eager to grow within a supportive environment
