Quantity Surveyor ( QS ) - Fire Sprinklers
Salary/Package - £80,000 - £90,000 basic + Benefits Package
Location - London
Permanent Position
Level: Intermediate or Experienced
Our client is an established Level 4 accredited contractor under the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), specialising in commercial fire sprinkler installations across the South East of the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Applications are welcomed from intermediate, or industry-experienced professionals.
The Role
The successful candidate will support the commercial and project delivery teams in managing costs, mitigating risk, and ensuring financial control across sprinkler installation projects. Primarily this is a role working in central London, working out of the company's Liverpool Street's base.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed cost analysis of fire sprinkler installation works to support tender preparation
Assist in ensuring compliance with health and safety obligations
Identify commercial risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
Prepare tender submissions and contract documentation for sprinkler works
Select and appoint subcontractors, agreeing scope of services and work allocation
Monitor project costs to ensure financial performance is maintained
Identify and manage cost variations and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain accurate budget tracking and financial reporting
Produce and present commercial reports as required
Liaise effectively with project managers, site managers, subcontractors, and site teams
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience within the fire sprinkler installation industry advantageous, but NOT essential
A Minimum 5 years experience with estimating and/or quantity surveying
Strong commercial awareness and cost control capability
