Quantity Surveyor - Cayman Islands


Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and fast-paced developer. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking across multiple projects
  • Manage procurement processes, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract award
  • Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms and conditions
  • Evaluate and process contractor valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitor project costs and identify risks, providing mitigation strategies where necessary
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Provide regular financial and progress reports to senior stakeholders
  • Support dispute resolution and claims management where required


Key Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within infrastructure or civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract forms (e.g., FIDIC or similar)
  • Proven experience in cost control, procurement, and contract administration
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management systems)
