Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/ Senior QS\n\nSummary:\n\nThe Quantity Surveyor/ Senior QS is responsible for providing expert quantity surveying services to clients, including cost estimating, tendering, and contract administration. This position requires a strong understanding of construction methods and materials, as well as experience in high quality projects, there will also be the requirement for some Project management within the role.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including the cost of materials, labor, and equipment\n\n * \n\n Review and analyse construction drawings and specifications to identify potential cost risks\n\n * \n\n Manage the tendering process, including preparing tender documents and evaluating bids\n\n * \n\n Negotiate and award contracts with subcontractors\n\n * \n\n Administer contracts, including monitoring project costs, issuing payment certificates, and resolving disputes\n\n * \n\n Provide expert advice to clients on all aspects of quantity surveying\n\n * \n\n Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices\n\nQualifications:\n\n * \n\n Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.\n\n * \n\n Preferably be on the RICS pathway or hold MRICS.\n\n * \n\n 4+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably with some experience working for a consultancy/PQS but we are open to contractor backgrounds.\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.\n\n * \n\n Experience in managing tendering and contract administration processes.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and negotiation skills.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * \n\n Basic Salary at £40-65k (open to discussion for more senior candidates).\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects\n\n * \n\n Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment\n\n * \n\n Professional development opportunities and progression achievable\n\nApply today to be considered or get in contact for a confidential discussion
