Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steelwork\n\nLocation: UK Industry: Structural Steel / Construction Type: Permanent\n\nA leading UK steelwork contractor is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of major structural steel projects. This is a great opportunity to join a well‑established and growing business.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Take full commercial ownership of projects after contract award\n\n * \n\n Produce commercial budgets and strategies\n\n * \n\n Support procurement of materials and subcontract packages\n\n * \n\n Prepare, submit and agree monthly applications for payment\n\n * \n\n Lead change control and price all variations\n\n * \n\n Negotiate variation values with clients\n\n * \n\n Manage and maximise project cashflow\n\n * \n\n Monitor and control internal and external project costs\n\n * \n\n Provide commercial and contractual support to project teams\n\n * \n\n Ensure all contractual notices and procedures are issued correctly\n\n * \n\n Prepare final accounts and monthly commercial reports\n\n * \n\n Mentor junior commercial staff\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Minimum 3 years’ QS experience\n\n * \n\n Structural steelwork experience is essential\n\n * \n\n Strong commercial and contractual knowledge\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills\n\n * \n\n Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management ()
