A specialist contractor delivering brownfield regeneration, bulk earthworks and remediation schemes across Yorkshire & Humber.

Projects include large cut & fill operations, stabilisation works, contaminated land remediation and full enabling packages tied to major residential and infrastructure-led developments.

Strong order book. Repeat clients. Self-delivery capability.

The Role

You’ll take commercial responsibility for one or more live earthworks / remediation schemes, reporting into a Commercial Manager.

This is a hands-on commercial role — close to site, close to operations, and involved from award through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing subcontractor packages and valuations

Producing CVRs and cost reports

Variations and change control

Procurement of materials and specialist subcontractors

Client applications and payment notices

Supporting tender pricing where required

Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers

You’ll be commercially driving projects, not just reporting numbers.

What They’re Looking For

QS experience within heavy civils, earthworks or remediation

Comfortable managing packages with limited supervision

Understanding of NEC contracts (JCT beneficial depending on scheme)

Strong commercial awareness with practical site understanding

This would suit:

An Assistant QS ready to step up

Or a QS already running their own schemes
