Elmcroft Construction is a specialist groundworks and civils company supplying a full turnkey design and build service to the modular building sector across the UK.


Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with experience in groundwork and civils to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for managing all areas of project financials and commercials, issuing monthly valuations, measuring and costing up variations, cost reporting, etc. Other duties will be to assist the estimating and procurement teams to ensure the best commercial outcomes at all times. The role will be primarily office-based in Watford with some hybrid working and occasional site visits. This is a freelance permanent position


Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to both customers and colleagues
  • Strong skills in cost management, cost planning, and commercial management
  • Experience in preparing tender and contract documents
  • Proficient in risk and value management
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in cost control for feasibility studies and budget administration
  • Experience in handling subcontractor accounts and client reporting
  • Knowledge of contract administration and legal aspects of construction
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with modular sector projects is advantageous
