Location: Salford (Office) & Manchester (Site-Based Projects) Salary: Competitive + Package (DOE) Sector: Main Contractor New Build Education, Commercial, Residential Projects About the Company A well-established main contracting construction company delivering high-quality refurbishment and new build education, commercial and residential projects across the Manchester and Salford regions. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to expand their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is a role that is split between the Salford office and project sites across Manchester. Key Responsibilities Managing project costs from inception to completion Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Preparing and managing subcontractor packages Measurement and valuation of works (on-site and from drawings) Interim valuations, variations, and final accounts Cost reporting and forecasting Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on programme Contract administration under JCT and NEC forms of contract Liaising with project teams, clients, and stakeholders Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment Experience delivering refurbishment and new build construction projects (education sector desirable) Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong xehkeey communication and organisational skills Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar Whats on Offer £40,000 - £55,000Car allowance Pension Holidays Strong pipeline of secured work Opportunity to work on high-profile education schemes Supportive and collaborative working environment Career progression opportunities Working Arrangements Office based in Salford with regular travel to sites across Salford, Manchester and Lancashire To Apply Please send your CV or contact: Alexandra Smith
