Job Description
Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your civil engineering career? Join a major infrastructure project in Hampshire and gain hands-on experience managing commercial and contractual activities across exciting civil engineering works.
This role is ideal for a QS with some NEC contract experience who is ambitious to grow into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
What Youll DoAs a Quantity Surveyor, youll:
Support commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projectsAssist in preparing valuations, applications for payment, and monthly cost reportsHelp manage variations, change control, and extensions of timeSupport subcontractor management and tendering processesProvide contractual guidance to project and site teamsContribute to effective cost control and financial management throughout the projectYoull work across site, office, and home, giving you a well-rounded experience of a live infrastructure project.
Skills & Experience Were Looking ForExperience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projectsSome NEC3 / NEC4 contract experienceSolid understanding of cost reporting, valuations, and commercial managementStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsDegree in Quantity Surveying (RICS or CICES accredited)Working towards chartered status is a plus
