A fast-growing contractor in the solar and renewables sector is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor as part of a commercial team build that is at a very early stage. The business has achieved 142% growth over the past 12 months and has clear plans to grow from £17m turnover last year to £50m within the next three years. Following rapid expansion, the company continues to invest in its people, systems and delivery capability. You will join a lean, agile commercial team, working closely with the Commercial Manager, gaining hands-on exposure, structured mentorship and early responsibility in a high-growth environment.

• Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 (DOE)

• Commercial management of projects from award through to final account
• Prepare and manage applications, valuations, variations and cost reporting
• Lead subcontract procurement, package placement, valuations and final accounts
• Drive change control and ensure variations are captured and evidenced
• Produce monthly forecasts and support cost reporting and governance
• Support contract administration and commercial risk management
• Work closely with delivery teams to improve record keeping and protect margin
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure value

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, M&E or a related contracting environment
• Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, reporting and subcontract management
• Commercially astute with confident negotiation and stakeholder skills
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a lean team
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
