Our client, a well-established engineering and design consultancy, is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Reading, Swindon, and Bristol. Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor: * Operate as part of the client’s team, coordinating closely with senior stakeholders, project managers, contractors, and internal departments to build and sustain effective working relationships. * Oversee project expenditure to ensure delivery within approved budgets. Review, verify, and manage contractor and supplier valuations, costs, and payments. * Prepare and issue consistent financial updates to provide clients with clear visibility and confidence in project performance. Communicate financial status, forecasts, and risk assessments. * Lead or assist with procurement activities, including the assessment, selection, and appointment of contractors. * Administer a range of contract forms, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. Assess and manage change events, reviewing entitlement and quotations, and securing prompt agreement. Partner with the Project Manager to maintain detailed and accurate project documentation. * Proactively identify and evaluate commercial risks, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
