ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a leading drywall contractor for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a reputable subcontractor with a strong pipeline of work across high-profile commercial and residential projects throughout the South of England.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the effective financial and contractual management of multiple projects, ensuring commercial success from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Preparing and managing detailed cost plans, budgets, and cashflow forecasts
*
Procuring subcontract packages and negotiating terms
*
Administering contracts and managing variations and change orders
*
Producing monthly valuations and cost reports
*
Monitoring project performance, risk, and commercial compliance
*
Collaborating with site teams, clients, and supply chain partners
*
Supporting tender submissions and value engineering exercises
*
Ensuring adherence to company and industry commercial procedures
The ideal candidate will have/be:
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a subcontractor or specialist trade (drylining/interiors )
*
A sound understanding of commercial construction practices and forms of contract
*
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
*
The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work under pressure
*
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS-specific software
*
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as needed
