Quarry Fitter/Mechanical Fitter (Night Shift)Location: Loughborough Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 6:00pm - 4:00am (Night Shift) Start Date: Immediate Employment Type: Ongoing work, with optional weekend shifts availableAbout the RoleBarker Ross are currently recruiting for an experienced Quarry Fitter to join a large, high-output quarry operation just outside Loughborough. This is an ongoing night shift role offering consistent hours and the opportunity for additional weekend work.Key ResponsibilitiesCarrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on large-scale quarry plant and machineryWorking on fixed plant including crushers, conveyor systems, and screening equipmentDiagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtimeSupporting planned preventative maintenance schedules as well as reactive breakdown workInspecting and maintaining conveyor systems (rollers, belts, bearings, alignment)Ensuring all work is completed in line with strict health and safety standardsWorking independently on night shifts within a high-output production environmentRequirementsProven experience as a Quarry Fitter or Mechanical Fitter within heavy plant, aggregates or similar industriesStrong mechanical and fault-finding skillsExperience working on conveyors and fixed plant systemsAbility to work independently during night shiftsGood understanding of health and safety proceduresFull UK driving licence preferredDesirableQuarry Passport (advantageous, but can be provided if not currently held)Previous experience in large-scale quarry or industrial environmentsWhat We OfferOngoing, stable workImmediate startOptional weekend overtimeTraining provided for Quarry Passport if requiredIf you are looking for work please apply or email your cv to Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
