Working Hours: Monday Friday (8am-5pm) Quantity Surveyor Do you have experience in construction, or are you looking to build your career in the sector? My client is a premier London-based facade contractor currently undergoing rapid expansion. Due to this growth, they are looking for an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team and play a key role in their high-profile architectural projects. You will be responsible for safeguarding project margins through expert budget management, proactive risk assessment, and precise commercial reporting, while maintaining strong subcontractor and tendering relationships. You will work primarily from the London office or 2 days in London and 2 days in Hertfordshire, with remote work available every Friday. Orchestrate project cash flows, including budget creation, profitability forecasting, and the delivery of comprehensive monthly reports to the Board of Directors. Perform rigorous analysis of drawings, specifications, and scopes to proactively identify commercial risks and strategic opportunities. Evaluate and price project variations, ensuring all scope changes are accurately captured and commercially leveraged. Lead the end-to-end procurement process for subcontractors and key suppliers - from initial inquiry and rigorous evaluation to final contract negotiation. Drive project cost control and manage commercial risk profiles to protect project margins. Act as a key commercial link between design teams, site management, clients, and principal contractors to ensure full contractual compliance. Champion value engineering initiatives and commercial optimisation to enhance project delivery and profitability. Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Proven experience in Estimating or QS in the Construction Industry (Subcontractor level) Demonstrate experience in reviewing, assessing and summarising construction design drawings, specifications, consultants reports and other projects design information Working experience in cost planning projects based on construction programmes including allowances for attendances and preliminaries Full UK driving licence cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen systems) Previous experience working with subcontractor packages or procurement Experience with site-based roles or internships in construction is a plus 22 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown Onsite Gym, Perk Box, Virtual GP Service Paid day off on your birthday Direct in-person training and ongoing support Onsite parking, casual-smart dress code, great in-house coffee & snacks Friday's remote working Company Laptop However, we will keep your details on our database, and will contact you when other suitable positions become available
