Join a specialist engineering company investing heavily in innovation and R&D. You'll help shape bespoke roofing systems, working closely with Tier 1 contractors and architects on technically challenging projects. In this role you will work on R&D projects from concept through to manufacture, working across CAD, prototyping, and testing. Based primarily in the Royston office, you'll collaborate closely with the R&D Manager and wider business to deliver robust, evidence-led product development. This role is ideal for an R&D Engineer with a background in AutoCAD who wants hands-on ownership of projects from ideation to delivery. THE ROLE: Lead and contribute to early-stage concept development and feasibility assessments Design bespoke construction solutions using 2D and 3D CAD (AutoCAD / Inventor) Develop performance criteria, technical specifications, and specification summary reports Produce and manage prototype components, fabrication, and assembly
