Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of R&D tax claims. Provide expert advice on R&D tax relief and compliance matters. Collaborate with clients to identify qualifying R&D projects and expenditures. Review technical documentation to ensure alignment with HMRC guidelines. Lead discussions with HMRC and other external bodies as required. Support the development of junior team members through mentoring and training. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation impacting R&D claims. Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Profile A successful R&D Senior Tax Manager should have:
Strong knowledge of R&D tax relief regulations and compliance requirements. Proven expertise in managing and advising on R&D tax claims. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information. Experience in client‑facing roles within the professional services industry. A professional qualification in accountancy or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
