RE & Life Skills Teacher – Doncaster (11–18 Secondary School)
Location: Doncaster Contract: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until end of academic year Salary: £170–£220 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
PK Education are working with an 11–18 secondary school in Doncaster who are seeking a dedicated and engaging RE & Life Skills Teacher to join their team as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
This is a highly relevant and impactful role within the school, combining Religious Education with Life Skills to support students both academically and personally. You will be working across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, helping students develop a broader understanding of society, relationships, and the world around them.
The Life Skills element is a key focus, covering topics such as mental health, relationships, careers, financial awareness, and preparation for life beyond school — making this a vital role within the wider curriculum.
The Role
Delivering RE lessons that encourage discussion, critical thinking, and understanding of different beliefs and cultures. Teaching Life Skills sessions that focus on real-world topics relevant to students aged 11–18. Creating a safe and inclusive environment where students feel confident discussing sensitive topics. Supporting students in developing confidence, independence, and social awareness. Managing behaviour effectively and building strong relationships with pupils across different year groups.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience. Experience or interest in RE, PSHE, or pastoral-based subjects. Ability to engage students across a wide age range (11–18). Strong communication skills and confidence handling sensitive or discussion-based topics. A calm, empathetic, and adaptable approach. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Why This Role Stands Out
A chance to genuinely impact students’ personal development and future readiness. A varied and meaningful timetable beyond traditional subjects. Opportunity to build strong relationships with students across KS3–KS5. A supportive school environment with a focus on wellbeing and inclusion.
If you are looking for a role where you can make a real difference in students’ lives both inside and outside the classroom, we would love to hear from you.
