We are currently seeking a passionate RE Teacher to join the Religious Education department at a friendly Catholic High School in the Wigan area. This is an excellent opportunity open to both experienced teachers and ECTs. The school are seeking a practicing Catholic able to support and uphold the Catholic life of the school.
The role is set to begin as soon as possible but has some flexibility on start date and due to continue until the end of the academic year.
As an RE Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a positive learning environment to support the development of all pupils, whilst delivering all aspects of the national curriculum at KS3 and KS4. The right candidate should be able to develop positive relationships with pupils and create engaging lessons. You should be able to integrate efficiently into a new school and quickly settle into and contribute to both the faculty and the wider school community.
Key responsibilities:
* Deliver the RE national curriculum at both KS3 and 4
* Uphold the catholic values of the school
* Contribute to raising standards and providing opportunities for all students
* Support pupils with SEND
* Promote positive behaviour
* Adhere to school policies and procedures
Essential requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Right to work in the UK
* Experience working within a UK Secondary School setting
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Ability to deliver age-appropriate and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
* Enhanced DBS or willing to obtain one
