The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for a full-time Reader Services Archivist to join its Collections department. We will also consider applications for employment on a part-time basis, despite the position being advertised as full-time. You will manage the Reading Room and our team of Reader Services Assistants in the delivery of all reader services, balancing high-quality customer service, care of collections, and effective support for the management of the archive and library collections. You will manage the delivery of digital access to collections for remote researchers and access to archive and library collections, including reprographic and (where appropriate) licensing services. You will report to the Collections Manager and demonstrate experience in archival cataloguing, accessioning, appraisal, preservation management and legislative compliance. You will also show interest in and commitment to developing understanding of Library and Museum practice, in liaison with the relevant curatorial leads, to support access to these collections across the organisation.
