Job Description
We are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded global PERE firm as they look to strengthen their London Asset Management team.
The Asset Management Associate will play a critical role in driving and managing an alternative living (PBSA/BTR) asset portfolio across Europe.
This role will also feed into new acquisitions on an ad-hoc basis however the core of the position is to focus on existing portfolio performance.
Key Focus Areas:
- Develop and maintain complex cash flow models across assets and JVs
- Analyse debt structures, liquidity and covenant compliance (DSCR, ICR, LTV)
- Lead reforecasting exercises and variance analysis against operator business plans
- Run valuation, sensitivity and exit modelling scenarios
- Prepare portfolio-level reporting and investor materials
- Monitor property-level performance, leasing metrics and capital programmes
- Support underwriting of new acquisitions and assist with disposals
- Coordinate hedging strategies and debt-related workstreams
- Contribute to negotiations with property managers and leasing agents
- Engage directly with operating partners and attend site visits
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members
Role Requirements:
- A strong academic background, ideally in STEM subjects
- At least 3+ years’ experience in institutional real estate (PE, IB, investment/asset management or corporate finance)
- Operational living asset experience is key (PBSA/BTR)
- Advanced Excel capability – able to construct and interrogate detailed financial models independently
- Commercially astute with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Confident communicator, capable of presenting to senior stakeholders and investment committees
- Organised, detail-focused and able to manage multiple priorities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a lean team environment
This is a high-responsibility role suited to an ambitious real estate professional seeking deeper exposure to asset-level strategy, capital structuring and institutional portfolio management.
Please note this is currently a 12 month FTC but it still represents an amazing opportunity to work at a coveted industry leader
