About the Role :

As part of the Lead Advisory & Restructuring team in PwC UK, this role is for an industry leader in Real Estate to co‑lead the M&A competence working alongside our large and diverse Real Estate Advisory practice and reporting directly to the Head of Real Estate Deals.

Real Estate as a sector is a significant part of the UK Deals market and accordingly the PwC UK Corporate Finance team requires a dedicated M&A expert technical competence lead and specialist in the market in this sector. The role will require a strong proven track record of leading both sell‑side and buy‑side mandates, equity raises and public market activity in the UK Real Estate space.

The individual must have a proven network across the industry and be seen as a leader in their field. They will have led numerous transactions across a variety of real estate sectors including but not limited to Hotels, Student Housing, Life Sciences and other operational real estate.

For this role we require a well‑versed leader with a track record of leading teams developing talent and operating as a member of a diverse leadership team. It is essential that the individual shares the PwC values.

What your days will look like :

  • Managing and leading complex M&A transactions and client engagements
  • Leading a team of real estate M&A professionals providing technical oversight and regulatory compliance
  • Applying strong commercial awareness to successfully secure new M&A mandates for the firm
  • Overseeing the sales and targeting strategy for the team to deliver significant annual revenues from M&A and wider Deals advisory services
  • Raising the profile of the PwC UK Real Estate Lead Advisory & Restructuring team including hosting, speaking and presenting at industry events and acting as an industry expert for the firm
  • Providing market insight and wider leadership support across our Corporate Finance practice as a senior leader in the business

This role is for you if :

  • Technically strong in all aspects of M&A from inception to close, FCA authorised individual (or willing to obtain FCA Authorised status – Regulatory requirement) ideally with background of the public takeover code.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, providing leadership coaching and effective at client communications
  • A good communicator and inspirational leader of people
  • Financial acumen with responsibility for delivering profitable engagements across the team
  • A proven track record of originating deals and managing a sales pipeline
