We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury country house hotel and estate set within beautiful countryside on the outskirts of Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. Our client is seeking an experienced and guest-focused Reception Team Leader to support the Front Office team in delivering a seamless, five-star arrival and departure experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest service while supporting and developing a front office team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Reception team to deliver exceptional guest service
• Oversee daily front office operations including check-in, check-out, and guest queries
• Ensure a smooth and efficient arrival and departure experience for all guests
• Handle guest feedback, requests, and service recovery in a professional manner
• Support with training, coaching, and development of team members
• Assist with rota planning, task allocation, and daily operational organisation
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and ensure system updates are completed
• Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience

About You

• Previous experience in a Reception Supervisor or Front Office leadership role
• Strong background in luxury hospitality or five-star hotel environments
• Confident using hotel PMS systems (Opera or similar desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal xbpsjku skills
• Calm, professional, and guest-focused under pressure
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• A natural leader with a hands-on and supportive approach
