Blue Arrow is growing, and we are seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our established Cardiff team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced consultant with a strong sales mindset, though we will also consider entry-level candidates who demonstrate clear commercial drive and a genuine interest in business development.Recruitment is a sales-driven environment, and success in this role comes from building relationships, identifying opportunities, and consistently delivering value to clients and candidates alike. While recruitment skills can be taught, resilience, motivation, and a proactive approach to sales are essential.The roleAs a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for generating revenue through both new business development and account management, alongside delivering a high-quality recruitment service.Key responsibilities include:Actively identifying and developing new business opportunities through sales activity, networking, and market engagementManaging and growing a portfolio of client accounts to maximise revenue and service deliveryConducting client meetings to understand hiring needs and provide consultative recruitment solutionsManaging the full recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy take-on through to placement and ongoing client/candidate aftercareAttracting, interviewing, and placing candidates into temporary and permanent rolesWorking towards individual and team sales targets, KPIs, and performance metricsMaintaining strong sector knowledge and market awareness to support credible, value-led sales conversationsEnsuring compliance with internal processes and industry standardsAbout youThis role will particularly suit someone who:Has previous experience in recruitment, sales, or a target-driven commercial environmentIs confident in business development and enjoys generating new opportunitiesIs comfortable working to revenue targets and performance objectivesHas strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skillsIs resilient, organised, and motivated by resultsEnjoys working as part of a high-performing, supportive teamFor entry-level candidates, we are looking for clear evidence of sales potential, ambition, and work ethic, supported by training and structured development.Why join Blue Arrow?Blue Arrow has been recognised as a Financial Times and Statista Best Employer for 2026, reflecting our strong values and commitment to our people.
