Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Recycling Operations Manager located in Westminster, MD. The Recycling Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day recycling operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining safety protocols. Key tasks include coordinating recycling collection and processing, optimizing productivity, managing inventory, and ensuring all equipment is maintained and functioning. Additionally, the Manager will develop and implement recycling programs, conduct training sessions for staff, and handle administrative tasks such as budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of recycling operations, environmental regulations, and safety protocols

Experience in staff management, training, and development

Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage inventory and oversee equipment maintenance

Proficient in budgeting, reporting, and administrative tasks

Effective communication and leadership skills

Previous experience in a similar role is a plus

Relevant certifications or qualifications in waste management or environmental sciences are beneficial

Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT endorsement and the ability to operate Class 7 vehicles with manual transmission
