Refrigeration Service Engineer Location: Manchester & North West Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 per annum OTE: £48,000 - £55,000 Benefits: Company van, fuel card, paid overtime, standby allowance, ongoing training Role Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a well-established team covering Manchester and the wider North West region. This role focuses on servicing, planned maintenance, and reactive breakdown support across a portfolio of commercial refrigeration contracts. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, customer-focused, and confident working independently. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial refrigeration systems Respond to reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently Electrical and refrigeration fault finding Compressor replacements, leak detection, and refrigerant recovery Ensure cold room temperature compliance and system efficiency Participate in emergency call-out rota Complete accurate electronic service reports Systems Covered Cold rooms and walk-in freezers Multideck and upright display refrigeration Pack systems Remote condenser units Split A/C systems Requirements NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning F-Gas Category 1 certification Proven experience in commercial refrigeration service and maintenance Full UK driving licence Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills What's On Offer Competitive basic salary with strong OTE potential Company van and fuel card Paid overtime and standby allowance Ongoing technical training and development Stable, permanent employment with long-term prospects Interested?
