What You'll Do:
As a Refuse and Recycling Loader, you will play a vital role in keeping our community clean and green. Your responsibilities will include:
Loading with Care: Work alongside crew members to load refuse and recycling materials onto vehicles, following daily schedules and ensuring safety compliance. Customer Engagement: Provide helpful information and advice to residents regarding waste types and container usage, fostering a positive relationship with the community. Health & Safety First: Adhere to all health and safety policies, reporting any issues that may affect service delivery immediately. Mentorship: Guide and mentor temporary staff, leading by example and ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards. Problem Solving: Adjust work routines daily to accommodate road closures, weather conditions, and other interruptions while ensuring programmed rounds are completed. High Standards of Care: Ensure that refuse and recycling materials are collected professionally and that customer service is upheld by addressing queries and complaints effectively.What We're Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should have:
Strong knowledge of health and safety compliance and waste management practices. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members. A commitment to teamwork and leadership, with the ability to mentor and train others. The physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and working in various weather conditions.
