Class 2A (non-negotiable) Confident in plan checking and site inspections Strong organisational, record-keeping, and time-management skills Excellent communication and people skills for stakeholder liaison Able to work independently and manage a daily inspection schedule Full driving licence and able to travel locally (approx. 78 inspections per day) What will your role look like? Undertake plan checking for building control submissions in line with regulations Carry out site inspections across an allocated area, including Class 2A surveillance work Liaise regularly with structural engineers, contractors, and internal teams (within standard working hours only) Maintain accurate records and reports using our database system (AIP) Focus on technical inspection work alongside associated reporting and administrative responsibilities Manage your workload, inspection schedule, and projects autonomously while meeting targets Ensure all work complies with BICOF guidance and regulatory standards Travel is regionally focused and tailored to your location for efficiency Whats next?
